How early should be involve Bellcon in an industrial project?
As early as possible. If we’re involved at concept of front-end loading stage, we can help shape layouts, grids ad load paths to work with your process requirements. That usually leads to fewer surprises and changes later.
Do you understand industrial operational constraints and safety requirements?
Yes. Our approach is to respect plant rules, safety procedures and production schedules. We try to minimise disruption where inspections or modifications are requires, and we’re upfront about any work that might affect operations or downtime.
Do you coordinate with other specialists and OEMs?
Yes. We’re comfortable working alongside mechanical, electrical and process engineers, as well as equipments OEMs fabricators, to ensure the structural aspects tie in correctly with the rest of the project.
Can you review an existing design for value engineering?
Yes. We can perform an independent review of existing structural designs to identify potential savings, simplifications or constructibility improvements, always without compromising.
Which areas do you cover for industrial work?
We’re based in KwaZulu-Natal and regularly work across Durban and the North Coast. For larger industrial projects further afield, we access feasibility based on scope and travel requirements.
How are fees structured for Industrial work?
We generally work on fixed-fee appointment, based on the project scope and requirements. The fixed-fee ensures that the client will be provided a complete service from concept to handover. Additional special requests will be handled on a rate bases, which we stipulate in the contract T&Cs.
